How important is the role of the annual report as a communications tool?
The annual report is still one of the most important ways to present and explain the business. Plus, the process and content forms the basis of other communications throughout the year, from what goes onto the website and into investor presentation materials to stories communicated internally.
What advice would you give somebody tackling an annual report for the first time?
Keeping the report readable, searchable and clear, making sure it reflects the company and avoids being formulaic or tick-box, while meeting all the necessary requirements around information disclosure.
