Virgin Atlantic's new safety film appeals to film-lovers

Virgin Atlantic has launched another safety film, but unlike Virgin America's all-singing, all-dancing hip-hop clip, the British airline video hopes to appeal to both film and travel-lovers alike.

The latest video, created by film makers Art and Graft, is an animation aimed at keeping passengers safe and well informed as well as extremely entertained.

The video begins with a passenger slowly drifting off into a light sleep after the air stewardess begins to recite the safety procedures.

Viewers are then transported into the passenger's mind as he dreams about putting all luggage into overhead lockers in a Wild West saloon bar, having his seat belt securely fastened by a super hero and putting his oxygen mask on correctly during a high speed get-a-way.

The video was inspired by classic cinema and cult cinematography shown from the constant change in style throughout the six minute clip.

It will be shown on airlines from 1 March and has already been viewed more than 17,500 times from Virgin Atlantic's YouTube account.
