McDonald's is most shortlisted company at CorpComms Awards


Fast food giant McDonald’s UK is the most shortlisted company in
the 12-year history of the CorpComms Awards, having been nominated 19 times,
most recently in 2016, when it won Highly Commended for its corporate campaign
championing British farming.
It won in 2014, for its 40th anniversary celebrations,
as did the second most shortlisted company Sainsbury’s, which won for its
internal conference assisted by agency drp. Sainsbury’s has been shortlisted 14
times since 2005, including a win for Best in-house team in 2013.
O2 follows Sainsbury’s, boasting 11 shortlisted entries, whilst Southern
Water ranks fourth with 10 entries, having been most recently nominated for
Best consumer campaign in 2014 for its approach to blockages.
BAE Systems, Centrica, HSBC, Royal Mail and Tesco are all tied for
fifth place, with each company appearing on the shortlist nine times.
