The Strategic Comms Awards are now open

Now in their second year, the Strategic Comms Awards recognise the evolution of corporate reporting, from a sole focus on financial metrics to the role of business in society

The Strategic Comms Awards, part of the CorpComms Awards, are now open for entry.

Now in their second year, the awards programme recognises those companies that have evolved their corporate narrative, particularly within their annual reports, from a focus on financial metrics to one which outlines their progress in addressing some of the biggest issues facing society today.

For example, the categories reflect the efforts of companies to articulate how corporate purpose drives business, how they have integrated ESG reporting into their financial framework to reporting on progress in diversity and inclusion reporting.

There are three new categories this year, which are Best Tone of Voice, Best use of moving image to articulate corporate strategy and Best Strategic communications agency.

The Strategic Comms Awards debuted in 2021, and recognised companies as diverse as Britvic, Telford Homes, BP, Unilever and Anglian Water for their efforts to make their corporate reporting both compelling and meaningful.

Portakabin was recognised for its innovative website, while Relx, publisher of The Lancet, picked up a trophy for its innovative approach to corporate reporting.

The early bird deadline for entries is 1 July, and the final deadline is a fortnight later on 15 July. The awards will be presented at a new type of ceremony, where informality, entertainment and networking are the key ingredients.
