The Labour, Conservative and the Liberal Democrat parties have been trying their best to be seen and heard over recent weeks and months, whether on Twitter and Facebook, in the televised leaders' debates, or via traditional fliers and advertisements. But when it comes to party branding, all three parties are inconsistent, unprofessional and could be misleading the voters, according to new research.
Closer investigation of political literature and web presence by Further, the branding and reporting agency which is part of the Fishburn Hedges Group, has revealed that the party logos are used sparingly, with the Tories even opting for a Union Jack on many occasions in place of their official tree logo. The parties vary their branding and use of colour when it suits a particular message and they even adopt each others' branding on occasion.
