Chief Justice courts tweeters

Florida Supreme Court has begun using Twitter to update interested followers on matters of official court business. Despite only posting a couple of tweets so far, the account has quickly garnered support in the form of over 350 followers in just a few days.

The @flcourts Twitter feed has also been included in over a dozen different 'lists' - compiled by users as recommended following material for other users.

The Florida court launched one of the world's first judicial websites in 1994, marking it out as a digital pioneer in the sector. The site contains FAQs regarding cases, Justices' biographies and now a link to its Twitter page.
