Cameron controls newbies' messages

David Cameron has ordered all Conservative party candidates to submit all proposed online quotes for vetting.

The move, which covers social networking sites, blogs and websites, is designed to reduce the number of embarrassing outpourings ahead of the General Election.

An email to Tory candidates said: 'Electronic publications such as websites, blogs and Twitter have to be approved before they are issued.'
