Fidelity International has launched a Facebook site for private investors to help them think about their investments.
It is the first UK asset manager to set up a Facebook page; it also has a Twitter page. Robert Fischer, head of UK personal investments, said: 'Facebook and Twitter...are an excellent way in which we can deliver financial information and opinions to our customers quickly and efficiently and engage in more direct dialogue with them.'
To mark the launch of www.facebook.com/fidelityuk, the company has created a portfolio challenge game that is designed to help investors think about their investments and to demonstrate the benefits of diversification.
