Teachers will be forced to ask pupils' permission before they introduce any major policy changes, such as altering the curriculum, under new plans unveiled yesterday.
From September, all state schools in England and Wales will be legally obliged to seek children's opinions on any changes to ensure that they feel valued.
The law, which affects both secondary and primary schools, means children as young as five could be consulted on issues, such as changes to the curriculum to ensure lessons are relevant to their lives, according to the Daily Telegraph.
