Champagne company Veuve Clicquot is to relaunch its Business Woman of the Year Award to reward ethical practices for the first time.
The award, which was established in 1972 as a tribute to the champagne company's founder Madame Clicquot, will now place social responsibility on a par with healthy balance sheets.
Veuve Clicquot said that social responsibility 'resonates with the brand and its corporate values', adding that the company had 'implemented several processes to promote a development preserving the environment such as sustainable viticulture'.
