HSBC customers in New York seeking a free taxi ride can now track the movements of the bank's complimentary cab as it moves around the city.
HSBC BankCab is now using Twitter to issue updates on its whereabouts and offer fun facts about travelling in New York.
The vintage Checkers cab, which is painted in HSBC's corporate colours of red and white, offers bank customers and prospective clientele a chance to enjoy a free trip around Manhattan.
Customers simply show their ATM, debit or credit card or even a statement to the driver, Johnnie Morello, who is also an award winning playwright.
The bank has also launched a series of sweepstakes which offer new customers, who open a Premier or Plus account with a qualifying deposit, the chance to win the HSBC BankCab and driver as their personal chauffeur for a day.
HSBC has more than 470 branches throughout North America, with over 380 based in New York State. The cab is tweeting via Twitter.com/HSBCBankCab.
