BAE Systems, Eurostar, McDonald’s UK and Tesco are among some of the major private sector organisations shortlisted at this year’s CorpComms Awards, which are held in association with Vista.
The awards, which are now in their tenth year celebrating excellence in in-house communications, received a record number of entries from a wide range of organisations, including charities, NHS hospital trusts, police forces, universities and companies listed on both the FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 indices.
McDonald’s UK leads the way with four nominations, along with TSB and first time entrants National Farmers Union (NFU).
On the agency side, Blue Rubicon, Hope&Glory, and Lansons PR have picked up the most nominations this year, but Brands2Life, Finsbury, markettiers4dc, MSLGROUP and Weber Shandwick also received multiple nods.
For the second year running, the coveted Best In-House Team trophy has been divided into private sector organisations and public sector and not-for-profit organisations. The in-house teams of Eurostar, Financial Times, N Brown Group, News UK, Northern Rail and TSB are in the running for the private sector accolade, while Anchor, Historic Royal Palaces, London First, NFU, Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Transport for London complete the not-for-profit and public sector shortlist.
To commemorate the tenth year of CorpComms Awards, a range of Decade of Excellence awards will be presented. Rentokil Initial, Royal Mail and German scales manufacturer Kern & Sohn join McDonald’s UK for the Campaign of the Decade accolade, whilst Agency of the Decade is a battle of the big guns, with Blue Rubicon, Brands2Life, Finsbury, Ketchum, Lansons and Luminous all vying for the trophy. The shortlist for the In-house Professional of the Decade will be announced soon.
Helen Dunne, editor of CorpComms Magazine, said: ‘We had an intensive day of judging, with much debate, and this final shortlist represents some inspirational and creative work. It promises to be a great night, with some truly deserving winners.’
The awards will be presented on 24 November at a gala dinner held in the Art Deco splendour of The Troxy, on the outskirts of the City.
