Company enlists Santa lookalike for festive campaign

Emily writes for CorpComms Mag, follow her tweets here @EmilyAVNicholls

A personal video message direct from Santa Claus himself has been received by CorpComms Magazine, thanks to mobile service provider O2's ambitious festive social media campaign.
Anyone with a Twitter account can send their Christmas messages to the O2 Santa via the company's @O2 handle using the #O2Santa hash tag, and a personal video message is then created for the user to share.
The initiative builds on the O2 Guru campaign whereby the mobile phone provider films personalised advice for customers tweeting about problems with their handsets.
After journalist Emily Nicholls tweeted: '@O2 Happy Christmas CorpComms girls, be good! #o2santa ', a festive video was created for the magazine. O2 alerted Nicholls that Santa Claus had filmed his message by tweeting: '@EmilyAVNicholls a very happy Christmas to you! Your message from #o2santa is ready and waiting for you: j.mp/rSeavG Ho ho ho'.
O2 wrote on its YouTube channel: 'Because O2 knows that we can't all be with loved ones during the festive season, we thought we'd find a way to help spread some cheer this Christmas - all thanks to Santa, who has taken some time off to give us a hand with our mission.'
The company says the grotto will be in action until midday on 15 December and that it will try to deliver messages to anyone that tweets during that time.
All of the festive messages are available to view on YouTube, by typing 'A message from O2 Santa for @(recipient's name)' into the search box.
