American social media users favour Starbucks over any other coffee chain, and 89 per cent of comments relating to the chain are positive, according to a recent report by social media analysts Amplicate.
The Public Opinion on US Coffee Chains on Social Media report revealed that almost 90 per cent of all opinions posted on social media platforms about coffee chains, such as Dunkin' Donuts and Cosi, were positive.
Dunkin' Donuts was found to be the least popular among all the coffee chains mentioned, as almost a quarter of the comments relating to it were negative. The main criticisms were aimed at the chain's bagels and iced coffees.
Starbucks was particularly praised for its speciality treats, such as its festive 'Pumpkin Spice Latte' and 'Caramel Mocha'.
The report also revealed that the average coffee fan had more than 570 friends or followers on social media platforms.
