Television adverts stir up criticism

We're barely in December and I hear some adverts are already upsetting people.
The Littlewoods one has certainly been riling a few parents out there.
How so?
Critics say the advert implies that Father Christmas doesn't exist.
What are people saying at the moment?
Well YouTube people are being invited to comment on whether they think the advert should be banned or not.
And what's the verdict?
One woman wrote: 'YES It should be banned! It gives the message that the only mothers worth appreciating are the ones that can afford expensive electrical items or who go into debt to give their spoilt families what they want!'
Blimey!
You think that's bad, you should read some of the others on there.
Any supportive ones?
One said: 'OM*G! Get over it! Its an advert - quit complaining it's amazing!'
Is it me or are the Christmas adverts getting a lot of attention this year?
The John Lewis Christmas advert attracted a lot of attention when it aired in November but not everyone gave it a warm reception. Guardian columnist Charlie Brooker lampooned people moved by the latest advert saying: 'Anyone who cries at this creepy bullshit is literally sobbing IQ points out of their body.'
