Bristol University has launched a new interactive QR code campaign which aims to tell prospective students everything they need to know about the city and its university.
The 'Discover More' campaign launched on Sunday after the government announced that it would be taking the cap off the limit on students allowed to go to the university. Since then, website traffic has increased by more than 350 per cent.
When scanned on a smartphone, the QR code leads to a series of web pages that describe the university and the city.
David Alder, director of communications and marketing at Bristol University, said that they wanted to come up with a campaign that was 'engaging, clever and witty'.
Alder said: 'Our students always say how much they love the city of Bristol, so we wanted the campaign to reflect that. The new pages on the website focus on some of the aspects of the city which make it such a unique place to live and study.'
The campaign will run until mid January.
