Lloyds TSB's free app has been downloaded more than 360,000 times in its first month of release.
Available for download on Apple, BlackBerry, Nokia and Android devices, the app allows users to check their account balances on their mobiles. Users can also view mini-statements, make transfers between Lloyds TSB bank accounts, pay bills and locate bank branches and automated teller machines (ATMs).
Ashley Machin, director of digital banking at Lloyds TSB, told Finextra.com: 'The use of mobile apps to assist day-to-day activities like banking on the go is more popular than ever, especially apps that provide customers with everything they need in one place. The launch of the mobile banking app is yet another example of how we ensure digital innovation is part of the experience we offer our customers.'
The app has received an average of 4.5 stars out of five from more than 800 iPhone users, while more than 200 Android users have given it a score of 3.7. Nokia users scored the app three out of five, but Blackberry users were the least impressed, with more than 100 reviewers giving the app just one out of five.
Machin said that they expect the number of downloads to have doubled by the end of November.
