Crisis receives three times as much coverage as Liam Fox resignation

The Eurozone crisis continued to dominate the UK national news agenda in the month of October, according to data supplied by media intelligence group Precise.
The crisis garnered more than three times the number of mentions in UK broadsheets as the resignation of former defence secretary Liam Fox.
There were 1,696 mentions of the Eurozone crisis in broadsheet newspapers in October compared to 459 mentions of the resignation of the former defence secretary.
Fox's resignation was the second biggest story of October across UK tabloids and broadsheets.
The capture and killing of former Libyan ruler Colonel Gaddafi received 118 mentions in broadsheets and 39 mentions in the tabloids. The fourth biggest story in terms of mentions was the release of American student Amanda Knox after she had her conviction for murder overturned.
