A new Size of Wales project is using social media to raise money and awareness for The Waterloo Foundation, a charity whose aim is to protect an area of rainforest that is the same size of Wales.
For every 'like' the charity receives on Facebook, Size of Wales partners will donate £1 to the charity. Each £1 will save an area of rainforest the same size as a rugby pitch.
The charity has so far raised more than £500,000, which will save more than 500,000 hectares of rainforest, the same size as 500,000 rugby pitches.
Comedian Dan Mitchell who supports the project told Wales Online: 'People 'like' things on facebook all the time, but here it helps to protect rainforests around the world. The more people who then go on to start or join 'tribes', the easier it will be to raise the £2 million needed to protect two million rugby pitches worth of rainforest - the same size of our nation.'
Supporters can visit Size of Wales' Facebook page, Twitter page or website to get involved.
