A lucky group of 150 aerospace enthusiasts who are also avid tweeters will be in with a chance of winning a tour of the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, to celebrate the launch of the Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity rover.
The two-day Tweetup, hosted by NASA, will allow the space enthusiasts to learn from scientists and engineers. And if all goes well, NASA hopes to end the Tweetup by allowing the tweeters to view the launch.
Registration for the Tweetup will be open between 5 October and 7 October, and the 150 aerospace aficionados will be chosen at random.
NASA provided 150 tweeters with the same prized tour of the Kennedy Space Center back in July, to celebrate the final launch of its NASA space shuttle programme. Its @nasa account has more than 1.4 million followers.
The science lab will take off aboard an Atlas V 541 rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on 25 November.
