A new iPad app that will give aircraft enthusiasts a chance to experience what it's like to pilot some of the most spectacular aircrafts ever to take flight, has been created by LOOP Digital Media.
The 'FLIGHTTEST' app is full of aviation-related reports written by real-life test pilots, photographs and videos of the featured aircrafts.
The app costing £1.79 is not just educational, the user can attempt to pilot each of the ten featured aircrafts, which include the Cessna Mustang jet, the Piper Super Club, the Robinson R66 turbine helicopter and an original Piper PA-28. It also gives users the opportunity to experience what it was like for the pilot to bring the Shuttle back to Earth.
The app also includes special features which include a lesson on how to successfully land on a glacier, and even how to do aero-acrobatics (or aerobatics).
The iPad app store provides a free trial of 'FLIGHTTEST' where users can download one of the tests in full and pilot the Daher-Socata TBM850. One user 'DanDotDingo' posted a message on the 'FLIGHTTEST' purchase page: 'Came across this app when searching for something else, and am glad I did... looks amazing'.
