Police in Lancashire have launched a blog on Facebook to broadcast anti-drink driving messages in the run up to Christmas.
The social networking campaign is targeted at 17 to 25 year old men who are viewed as the category most likely to offend.
The police force is posting daily updates on the exploits of fictitious character Robert Lancashire who is arrested for drink driving after his office Christmas party. The campaign will focus on his court appearances and the unexpected consequences that occur when somebody loses their driving licence.
The entries also features in four short video blogs, with the part of Robert played by a local actor.
Inspector Mark Bishop said that the police force's drink and drug driving campaign last year led to a fall in the number of offenders, but added: 'A third of those failing or refusing a test fell into the under 25 category.'
