Jeeves celebrates 10th birthday by asking the answerable

Search engine Ask Jeeves is marking a decade online and over 1.1 billion search queries by challenging users with their own top ten unanswerable questions.
The deep and meaningful queries Jeeves has received over the years include 'Is there anybody out there?', 'How long will I live?' and 'Do blondes have more fun?'
The promotion anticipates the launch of an interactive community section on the site which will crowd-source answers to more philosophical concerns like 'Did Tony Soprano die?'
The search engine has not always had an easy ride, long contending with the goliathan Google and, in a twist on the conventional murder mystery, giving the butler the heave-ho in 2006 to become simply Ask.com. Jeeves was reinstated in 2008.
Nadia Kelly, spokesperson for Ask Jeeves, said: 'Jeeves prides himself on being able to answer 16 million queries a month and has been doing so for ten years now.
'But even we have to admit that occasionally there is going to be a question where there is no simple answer so we're letting our users do it themselves.
'We want to encourage our community to get involved and come up with answers to unanswerables, whether funny or philosophical.'
