Singapore Airlines (SIA) has issued a ban on cabin crew discussing work-related concerns on social networking sites like Facebook.
The Straits Times reported that several employees received warning letters for complaining about duty rosters, management, passengers and fellow crew members online.
A post on the SIA staff union website confirmed: 'Recently, there have been a few cases of crew being penalised for their postings on Facebook about company related matter such as their rosters.
'These crew have a private access only granted to their Facebook profile and it was obvious that it was their "friends" who ratted out on them.
'Please refrain from such postings on your Facebook wall or any public forums or blog as you do not know who is really lurking out there and who are really your friends.'
