The judges just loved GirlGuiding UK's Impact report, its first ever, which celebrates the organisation's centenary. The web-based interactive document, which is hosted online at www.girlguiding.org.uk/impactreport, contains multimedia content to bring alive the contributions of members in their communities, thank supporters and review the centenary year.

The homepage, with its design reminiscent of a proper scrapbook with cards popping out from the top serving as tabs, sets the scene for a report that is littered with 'cuttings'. As readers access each section, a double page spread of the scrapbook opens to reveal facts and figures, images and press coverage.

Each element has clickable links to all the readers to delve deeper, into a film, slide show, audio clip or text. The content was also written in a style reminiscent of how young women maintain scrapbooks. The impact report was disseminated via the association's enewsletters, which are sent to about 100,000 members over the age of 14, as well as in a dedicated email from the Chief Guide.
It was also promoted on the association's home page, and via Twitter and Facebook, where it was accessed more than 16,000 times in the first two months. A postcard, which replicated the design of the report and directed readers to the URL, was produced to hand out at events.
